

Christopher Wallahee, Tuxh’nunam, was raised in White Swan, Washington. His career reflects a strong commitment to both public service and community involvement, He served the Yakama Nation Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Program for more than a decade and previously spent four years as a Wildland Firefighter. Wallahee has also dedicated time mentoring youth as a basketball coach at Yakama Nation Tribal School and worked as a seasonal contractor in the logging industry.
Now serving his second term, Wallahee is the Secretary of the Yakama Nation Tribal Council and serves on the following Committees: Executive (Secretary); Enrollment (Secretary); Budget and Finance (Secretary); and Public Relation/Media (Member).
Wallahee is committed to supporting youth, vulnerable populations, and the wellness of the People striving to always “speak for those who can’t speak for themselves.” His desire to serve was inspired in part by his maternal grandfather’s service on Tribal Council and strengthened through encouragement from friends and family.
