

Sharon L. Goudy, Kumshapum, was born in Nespelem, Washington. A lifelong resident of Yakama Reservation, Goudy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a specialization in Management and Organization and has completed some graduate-level coursework.
She brings more than five decades of professional and Tribal leadership experience to her role as Second Alternate for the Yakima Tribal Council.
Her career includes positions in 1969 and has included positions in Social Services, Realty, Land Operations, Administration, Law and Order, Tribal Council, and Yakama Nation Credit Enterprise. She previously served on Tribal Council and held the position of Executive Board Secretary. She also played a role in economic development initiatives during the formation of the Yakama Nation’s gaming enterprise and other business ventures.
Beyond the Yakama Nation, Goudy has provided leadership through numerous local, regional, and national organizations. She is currently serving her 26th year as elected Treasurer of the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians (ATNI) Executive Board.
Her work continues to focus on economic development to assure employment opportunities for self-sufficiency. She believes that collaboration, communication, and sharing knowledge are essential to address the social ills that plague our People.
